(Pregnancies experiencing unrelenting nausea and vomiting, you do not have to have an HG diagnosis.)

(If you live outside Alabama, but desire to come to our clinic,
we may be able to take your insurance - if it is one we are in network with!)
Steps to expedite your appointment:
Via text, we will get you set up as a new patient. You’ll download a free HIPAA-compliant app, Spruce, which makes you a patient in our system. Once downloaded, we will send your forms. Intake forms must be filled out prior to securing an appointment!

If you are suffering, we ask that you to fill out a HELP score (hyperemesis severity score). Text us your score. We can usually get patients in very quickly!

Let us know that you’re seeking a preconception appointment and Dr Housholder will walk you through HG preventation and a medication plan for a future HG pregnancy. Read this article if you are curious about HG Prevention!
Patients outside of Birmingham:
If you live in Alabama, but too far away to drive to clinic, we can still take care of you! We coordinate care for you through at home medications, local infusion companies and home health.
Financial Assistance:

Illness Policy
If you’ve had fever, chills, cold symptoms or viral stomach bug symptoms, please refrain from making an appointment in our clinic until your contagious symptoms pass. HG symptoms are relentless and last for weeks and months. If you’ve only been throwing up a day or two, you likely have the stomach bug.
